Online Community Boards Publishing
Technology Used: Cold fusion & JavaScript with MS SQL 2000 Database
New York City is divided into 59 geographic Community Districts, each one having an appointed Community Board. These Boards have Board members who manage the various meetings, announcements & schedules among other important information for their designated Board. The system is a one-of-a-kind web-publishing system for these Community Boards (currently working for New York City Communities).

The highlight of the application is its Multi-site management capability that uses the same Web Server (IP), with basic configuration and no extra resources, to manage all the Community Board sites & their content. Each board gets a unique URL, and the assigned Board Administrators (Members) can publish and manage content of their Board through this website via a set of extremely generalized forms and templates.

The System also has an exhaustive reporting tool with its own set of advanced features for its Administrators.   
  • Mailing list management with support for Synchronization with Outlook & ACT! in formats like XML & CSV
  • Calendar based schedules
  • A flexible Create-a-web-page Tool allowing for creation of a web page on the fly.
  • Approval process for the System Administrators to help review each published item before it is made public.
Our designing team meanwhile built templates for the site on pixel to pixel basis accuracy for various browsers. These templates were later integrated with the ASP.NET Application. The website also involved Action Scripting for products demo.

We successfully ported Planet Waves website to live server at www.planetwaves.com after a through testing at our test server.
